This page describes how consent to receive SMS and WhatsApp messages from users of Hobb is obtained, recorded, and honored. Hobb is operated by Redo AI, Inc. ("Redo AI," "we," "us"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Hobb is a customer-relationship tool for real-estate professionals. Each Hobb user can be issued a dedicated business phone number through the Service. Messages sent from that number are business-initiated messages from that individual Hobb user to their own contacts, clients, and leads. Redo AI does not send marketing messages to consumers on its own behalf through these numbers, and Hobb users may not message purchased lists or recipients who have no relationship with them (see our Acceptable Use Policy).
A contact receives messages from a Hobb user's number only after providing their phone number to that user in the course of a business relationship, for example when inquiring about a property, working on a transaction, or asking to be kept up to date.
Before messaging begins, the Hobb user confirms in the product that the contact has agreed to receive messages. Hobb captures and retains a record of that consent, including:
These records are retained while the relationship is active and are available to carriers and platforms on request.
Messages are conversational and relate to the recipient's business relationship with the Hobb user: appointment scheduling and reminders, property and listing updates, transaction coordination, and follow-ups to earlier conversations.
Message frequency varies based on the conversation. Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient's mobile plan.
Opt-outs are recorded and enforced across the Service. A Hobb user who continues to message a recipient after an opt-out violates our Acceptable Use Policy and may lose access to messaging.
For recipients in Canada, express opt-in consent is required before any commercial electronic message is sent. Hobb users messaging Canadian recipients must obtain and record express consent, and each message identifies the sender and offers a working unsubscribe mechanism, consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
