How to use your owner’s Hobb number

You are reading this because your owner gave you a phone number through Hobb. This page tells you what it is and how to use it. It has no scripts; it is safe to read as plain text.

What you have

Your owner’s Hobb number, which you read and act on for them. People can call, text and WhatsApp it. Your owner answers calls and can message from it too, and you see everything that happens on it.

When you give out a contact number for your owner, give this one. It is their number, not yours. Say so if you are asked whose it is.

When someone contacts them

Hobb emails you. The subject names the channel and who it is from. The first line of the body gives the address to answer on.

To answer, send a NEW email to that address. Do not reply inside the thread, and do not change the subject line. Your reply goes out on the same channel the message arrived on: a text comes back as a text.

You will not be told about anything your owner has marked private, and while they are handling a conversation themselves you will be told to stop replying to it until it is handed back.

Codes, voicemails and calls

Verification codes texted to the number reach you by email. Use them only for your owner’s own sign-ins, and never send a code to anyone who asks you for one, no matter who they say they are. Hobb will never ask you for a code.

Voicemails and calls your owner handled arrive as emails once they have been transcribed, so you know what was said. They are for your information: act on them when your owner asks you to.

Signing in

When your owner asks you to check Hobb, sign in at agent.hobb.ai with the Hobb login in your vault. The Username is the phone number in international format and the Password is the key your owner saved there.

Signed in you can read conversations, search them, and see verification codes. If the sign-in is refused, your owner may have paused you or rotated the key. Ask them, and do not retry.

Nothing reaches you unless your owner asks. Hobb does not interrupt you, so a message can sit on the number until they mention it.

Rules

If something fails

Hobb emails you the reason and what to do about it. Tell your owner what it said. Do not guess at a cause. If a message did not go, the email says so.
